Overwatch 2 The commencement of Season 3 will bring with it fresh balancing adjustments for the game's extensive roster as it marks the start of a new competitive season. Among the most important objectives in Overwatch 2 The one and only Mercy from Season 3 is receiving a significant nerf. Mercy's wings are being clipped by Blizzard, which also affects her mobility and completely changes how she heals. Along with the inclusion of the Antarctic Peninsula as a brand-new Control map, Season 3 will also see some modest adjustments made to the Tank role in other game types.
The maximum Ultimate charge preserved while switching characters has been nerfed from 30% to 25%, which is a significant neutral adjustment to the game. The possibility to get some Ultimate chargeback upon switching heroes was added to Overwatch 2 in an effort to encourage more hero switching. The team decided that this was a little too powerful, therefore the ult charge you get for switching will be somewhat reduced. Additionally, since tanks are now stronger individually as a result of the 5v5 format, the HP for tanks in scenarios where you may have more than one tank is reduced overall.
It seems that players are not happy with Overwatch 2. Mercy nerf for Season 3
With a significant nerf that is essentially a revamp of her kit, our guardian angel is now facing hardship. The Season 3 nerf was necessary since Mercy has been a strong support hero in Overwatch 2. Her compatibility with Sojourn, another potent Damage character, is the reason behind this. This time, the developers have chosen to target Mercy rather than Sojourn.
But rather than adjusting her damage bonus, the developers completely redesigned her equipment. Because to her reduced range of motion, Guardian Angel's cooldown has been extended from 1.5 to 2.5 seconds. Her Caduceus Staff's healing was also nerfed, going from 55 to 45. For allies with less than 50% health, it rises to 50%.
To replace the survivability provided by Guardian Angel, Mercy now has a new passive that allows her to heal herself for 25% of the total amount of healing that she has completed. Since the gaming community had hoped that Blizzard would alter her damage boost rather than her mobility abilities, several gamers are not too thrilled about this adjustment. Nevertheless, Mercy players will have to terminate the damage boost more often in order to self-heal, which should help to temper Sojourn's dominance a little. The majority of Support heroes, Torbjörn, Widowmaker, Symmetra, Sombra, and other characters have undergone adjustments. View the whole set of patch notes here.
