There will be a Horde Mode, new Master Levels, and a revamped Battlemode in Doom Eternal.

Since the release of

Since the release of Doom Eternal a year ago, the game has received two distinct sets of narrative DLC. Still, it seems like Bethesda and developer id Software have a lot more work ahead of them. Hugo Martin, the game director, id Software executive producer Marty Stratton, and senior community manager Joshua Boyle discussed the game at a QuakeCon 2021 panel. Additionally, they unveiled a few features of the next Doom Eternal update, which includes a Horde Mode, two additional Master Levels, and a revamp for Battlemode.

The next patch, 6.66 to be exact, is adding new material to almost every aspect of the game. There will be a new Horde Mode introduced, just as it sounds. Slayers compete against successive waves of demons in an effort to get the best score. As you advance in level, certain demons will be designated as high priority targets, and your score will increase according to how fast you eliminate them. You will unlock additional challenges and other stuff in Horde Mode the better you perform.

An excellent moment to begin tearing and/or ripping

Battlemode, the PvP element of Doom Eternal, is about to get a makeover. A new "matchmaking system that takes your win streaks into account" will be included on it. Put differently, the likelihood of being paired with players that are similar to you increases. Additionally, Bethesda said that the redesign would feature "other enhancements," although it did not specify what they may be. Lastly, Stronghold, a brand-new Battlemode venue, will also be included.

Visit the official website to see what the update has to offer. Two additional Master Levels, named World Spear and Mars Core, are also described. We strongly advise you to try out Doom Eternal if you haven't already. I tend to agree with our own Andrew Farrell, who had some great things to say about it.

The release date of Doom Eternal version 6.66 is still unknown, although it should arrive "soon."
