Take note: See our Elden Ring guides and features hub for further details.Stormveil Castle tour guide Elden RingYou are just in front of Stormveil Castle's massive gate in Elden Ring. Unfortunately, it's locked. You will come across an NPC if you enter from the side door. Assure him that you will go for the cliffs.Cliffside StormveilWarhawks make the Stormveil Cliffside location particularly perilous. Why not, these birds have blades attached to their feet? In fact, since so many players have perished, you'll undoubtedly discover a few bloodstains here. When they're going to swoop in, try to roll or block. Similarly, stay away from their multi-hit combination, which consists of four rapid strikes. This cliffside region will eventually bring you to the wooden rampart stairs. An Exile soldier is on patrol in this area, and he will fetch two of his friends if he spots you. Before assaulting, use the narrow pass to draw them in and try not to trip over. After that, Commoner mobs will appear. These people move slowly, yet they often lurk in corners or throw firebombs at you.Once you reach the stairs, you have two options: roll through to take a close-quarters attack on them or wait for them to detonate the explosive barrels. There should be a locked door in this area. Additionally, there is a chamber that is dark when you reach the top.It strikes fiercely because a Banished Knight is within. As of right now, you may just stab it while it isn't doing an attack animation by standing outside the doorway. When it whips around, be careful—it may also strike the area in front of it. Anyway, you'll obtain a key to enter the locked door one story down if you kill it.Take note: You may get the Curved Sword Talisman from the chest within the dimly lit area.Once the door has been unlocked, ascend the staircase and take a right turn. This place is full with treasure and Commoner mobs. For a few things, you may also follow the loop that goes outdoors. You may turn left to return to the ladder, but watch out for the Commoner who will rush at you. You will soon come to an aperture in the tower if you go further. You may dash past it and go up the stairs, but another Banished Knight is waiting for you here. to not aim for the summit. Alternatively, look for the Rampart Tower Site of Grace on the second level.Sorcerer Rogier and Rampart TowerUsing ranged weapons, you may deal with the Warhawks from a distance in the next section. They will pick up explosive barrels and dump them on your head if you get too closely without first interacting with them. There should be a window opening in the church beyond the Birds from Hell. Speak with Sorcerer Rogier, the same person who assisted you in defeating Margit, by descending. Additionally, he is selling several Ashes of War weapon talents. Select your preferred alternative or the most affordable one to enable you to select every dialogue option that is left.Run as fast as you can! Now, make your way out of the church and scan the corridor for signs of a banished knight and an exile. Go ahead and fight them if that's what you want to do. Alternatively, you may flee, but they will find you and you may also attract the attention of any pursuing mobs. Here are a few more interesting facts you may discover:
- Audience Hall – Past the Banished Knight/Exile duo, there’s a Scion enemy. This many-limbed creature is tough, but you can snipe it from up top with a bow/crossbow. But, if you’re still being chased by other foes, then you won’t have time to do this.
- Library – In the small library with the Banished Knight, you’ll find a Mimic’s Veil. This item lets you spend FP to turn into a random object nearby, such as a box.
- Audience Hall Ledge – If you go outside the Library window, you’ll see a walkway and ladder. This takes you to the ledge on the opposite side of the Audience Hall. You can grab a Stonesword Key here.
- Imp Dungeons – Speaking of Stonesword Keys, you can use these to unlock a couple of Imp Dungeons (i.e., mist-covered dungeons with an imp statue at the entrance). The first Imp Dungeon is on a ledge below the Banished Knight/Exile duo, reachable using the walkway outside the Library. The other is through a doorway to the left of the Audience Hall. It’s got several rats, and one might drop a Rune Arc if you need to use a Great Rune’s buffs.
- Dumping Grounds – If you loop around the walkway, you should find a dumping area filled with corpses, as well as some Stray Dogs. You can grab the Chrysalids’ Memento here, an important item that can be given to Roderika. She’s the NPC from Stormhill Shack and she will, eventually, let you upgrade your Spirit Ash Summons.
