Due to a PlayStation bug, the Destiny 2 Final Shape Expansion was momentarily accessible. Regretfully, some players are making the worst use of information that has been revealed. Here's why, before The Final Shape, Destiny 2 gamers may want to disable in-game communication to prevent spoilers.
Why you need to disable in-game chat prior to The Final Shape
A few PlayStation network members were given temporary access to the Final Shape expansion. The fact is that there are Final Shape spoilers everywhere, even if we are only able to hypothesize as to how or why. Although the administrators of the Destiny Subreddit have been working very hard to stop any possible spoiler posts, it's difficult to stop information from being leaked elsewhere.
It's a catastrophe I'm sure Bungie wasn't anticipating, yet there are already YouTube channels with early video, anxious for their five minutes of fame.
You may simply avoid YouTube videos, X/Twitter, and Subreddit if you wish to avoid spoilers for Final Shape. Although difficult, it is achievable.
Regretfully, there are legitimate community members who appear strangely determined to exacerbate the problem. A brief notice on X/Twitter was sent by Destiny Bulletin, stating that users are posting Final Shape spoilers via the in-game chat. All they say in their last tweet is, "This is insane."
I am at a loss for words, so "insane" will have to do. We apologize, but in order to enjoy The Final Shape the way it was meant to be, For the time being, it may be advisable to disable the in-game chat. Save an expansion you've been anticipating for months from being ruined by terrible individuals. This is how you do it:
How to disable Destiny 2's in-game chat
Luckily, all it takes to have a spoiler-free Destiny 2 experience is a few button pushes away. To begin, choose the Cog symbol on the right from the menu.
You may disable text chat by swiping down to the Social area at the bottom of the menu (see image above). Remarkably, my game states that Text Chat is off by default. Although I'm certain I've never altered this, it could be worth checking your options since my text chat was active.
Even if Bungie and fans are unhappy about the spoilers, there are still a ton of Exotics disclosed by official sources to look forward to.
