Sellia's Secret and Gowry: A Guide to Sellia Town of Sorcery

Getting the Unalloyed Gold Needle and meeting Gowry

We will need to go all the way to the southeast region of Caelid in order to get to Sellia Town of Sorcery in Elden Ring. There are many monsters along the main route, so go with caution.

You should locate a guy named Gowry in his hut as the road circles around (be careful of the Stray Dog Totem). Find an Unalloyed Gold Needle, and Gowry promises to tell you the story of Sellia Town of Sorcery's beginnings.

Go to the Swamps of Aeonia in the middle of this zone to get this item. Commander O'Neil is the overworld boss located there. It's funny, because all you have to do is snipe your target by climbing a branch. Just be careful to deal with any nearby ghostly archers.

Take note: Caelid is a wasteland where rot has taken over. You will get this crippling illness if you are standing in crimson pools, such as those found in swamps. It will take a lot longer to lose health than just becoming poisoned once the bar is full.Sellia's Unknown Hint

Give the item to Gowry when you return. You may use your inventory to read the Sellia's Secret hint that he will hand you. In Elden Ring, igniting the three fires in the surrounding towers is part of Sellia's Secret quest.

Enter Sellia Town of Sorcery, in my opinion, and gallop all the way to the rear. Though there is also a Golden Seed, there are stairs that lead to a magically locked archway. You ought should be able to view the three necessary towers from this position. Although I've numbered them for ease of reference in this tutorial, you may go through them in any sequence.

First of all, Glintstone Sorcerers abound in Sellia Town of Sorcery, but they are all spirits. You won't be able to see them until you are near enough. There are other animals as well, such as stray dogs and flying gremlins.Note 2: Past the road that slopes downhill into the marsh is a Site of Grace. The Rotten Stray Ashes are located beyond this campfire. Because of the poison effect, it's one of the best summons in the game. We won't address the boss arena just yet, however it is located farther back.

Tower #1

Leap to the branch and go up the ladder. This one is simple.

Take note: A tower's flame will indicate that a seal has been broken when it is lit. These types of alerts are okay since we'll pick up the spoils later.

Tower #2

Go down the stairs from the Golden Seed sapling until you can position your leap to land on the branch. To get to this church, hop and move over the roofs. A ladder is located at the rear.

Tower #3

Cross the branch from Tower #2 to go to the other side of the roadway. Soon enough, you'll be able to get there.

Loot and sealed boxes in Sellia Town of Sorcery

Okay, let's discuss the treasure that may be found in Sellia Town of Sorcery.Ring Elden:

  • Sealed Chest: Night Comet – In a nook across from the overlook with the Golden Seed.
  • Sealed Chest: Spelldrake Talisman – In a nook just across from Tower #1 (seen in the image below).
  • Cerulean Tear Scarab (headgear) – On the way to Tower #2.
  • Stonesword Key – On an archway as you head to Tower #3.
  • Redmane Painting – Under a collapsed building visible from the road.
  • Ash of War: Double Slash – Found on a branch opposite at the edge of the village. Trying to catch it across rooftops would be a bad idea since you could miss/fall and it’d despawn. Just snipe it from afar.
  • Sealed Chest: Imbued Sword Key – At the grassy area along the opposite side of the buildings near Tower #2.
ascending the slope to meet MillicentYou may now go through the archway behind the Golden Seed sapling after lighting the three tower fires. This is a Site of Grace, but be careful—two metal ball traps will emerge along the route and go straight for you.The Church of Plague, which has its own Site of Grace, is located a little farther upward. There is a Sacred Tear and a lady who seems to be affected by the rot at this location.Gowry will give you the Unalloyed Gold Needle if you come back. Return this to the lady so that she might heal herself.Return to Gowry once again. He'll let you to buy Sorcery spells this time, such as Night Shard, Night Maiden's Mist, and Glintstone Stars. But make sure you purchase everything from him right away. He will, as far as I know, vanish when the lady is healed.Indeed, the minute you return to the church quickly and speak with that lady, she will be healed. It's Millicent, and she delivers you the Heirloom for the Prosthesis-Wearer. +5 DEX results from this. He won't be there for long if you go back to Gowry's Shack. However, Millicent ought to be there, announcing her impending departure.Take note: This place has a big tombstone that is guarded by a skeleton wizard; follow the slope beyond the Church of Plague to view it. Discover a secret cave by hitting the wall behind the gravestone. This pertains to the mission of Sorceress Sellen to locate Lusat. Elden Ring boss battle: Chair-Crypt of Sellia's Nox Priest and SwordstressRemember that there is still a boss battle ahead of us in Elden Ring before we call it a day in Sellia Town of Sorcery. The Golden Seed sapling and Tower #1 are situated below the entryway. You will engage in simultaneous combat with the Nox Priest and Swordstress within.Having a Spirit Ash summon that has multiple mob spawning potential may help level the playing field. Because the two like jumping and dodging missiles, several diversions may fool their AI. You may get the Nox Flowing Sword by defeating them.Lastly, but just as importantly, the rear chamber will open. There's a chest within that has Lusat's Glintstone Staff. Should that name seem familiar, it was most likely taught to Sorceress Sellen.
