A new single-player option and many returning characters are shown in the latest Tekken 8 promo.

A new trailer for

A new trailer for Tekken 8 was unveiled by Tekken series producer Katsuhiro Harada during today's Opening Night Live event at gamescom 2023. This trailer presents a new single-player option for fans and beginners to enjoy, along with a plethora of experienced fighters, unlike previous ones that usually concentrated on a single character. The release date of Tekken 8 is now known, and it is January 26 of next year. The characters in the teaser seem to corroborate the roster leak that made the rounds online a few days ago. You can view the whole lineup of Tekken 8 on Reddit by clicking on this link, provided you don't mind giving it away. The following characters were featured in the Tekken 8 trailer: Dragunov, Steve Fox, Shaheen, Leo, Yoshimitsu, and Kuma. The most of these characters seem to look and fight about like you would expect, but Kuma seems to have a new Rage Art in which he uses a fish missile that can change to destroy opponents. Even if it's ridiculous and silly, I won't be grumbling.

How is the new mode going?

Harada claims that the primary narrative mode, which is distinct from the new single-player option, will fulfill the expectation of carrying on the Mishima plot. Arcade Quest, the new mode, will have a narrative that is more player-focused and revolves on the arcade environment. The character customization possibilities that have been present in the franchise since Tekken 5 will still be available, and the gameplay will grow via the use of "AI-infused learning."Furthermore, the Tekken 8trailer reveals that avatar customisation will be available in the Arcade Quest mode for the first time ever in the history of the franchise. These avatars, however, have a cartoonish, Nintendo Mii-like appearance that is very un-Tekken, in contrast to the Street Fighter 6's ones. Although I can't say that I'm a fan of it myself, it sounds like a feature that many players will be more than happy to explore.
