Elden Ring guide: Bloody Finger Nerijus, Patches boss battle, and the Murkwater Cave dungeonThe dungeon of Murkwater Cave in
Elden Ring is situated near Limgrave, north of the river. Head southeast on the road from the Gatefront Site of Grace until you come to a sloping slope that leads to the lake. Past the ravine where the skeleton warriors are, continue north along the riverbank.
Nerijus Bloody FingersYou may now believe that you are secure, however there will also be an adversarial NPC invasion. Bloody Finger Nerijus will attack you, and he's really formidable if you're just getting started. His strikes happen quickly and leave you bleeding. Your character will suffer from Blood Loss when the bar is fully filled, which will cause significant HP loss from hemorrhaging.Nerijus will despawn if you choose to either sprint into the cave and take a nap at the Site of Grace. Alternatively, you might return to the area where the skeletons were discovered. Nearby, an amiable NPC by the name of Yura will materialize to help you fight Nerijus. It's a one-on-one match, so you ought to be able to take him out. After defeating Nerijus, you will get the Reduvia special blade and a Furcalling Finger Remedy that allows you to summon other players:
- Perk: Causes blood loss build-up
- Requirements: Str 5 and Dex 13
- Scaling: Str D and Dex C
The dungeon of Murkwater CaveRegarding the Murkwater Cave dungeon, well, not much about it is noteworthy. Here are a few bandit groups who will become aware of your presence if you set off the bell alarm traps. In order to get to the boss' arena, it is thus preferable to stroll while hugging the cavern wall (unless you intend on acquiring additional goodies).
Reaches the boss battleThe boss of Elden Ring in
Murkwater Dungeon Is nobody else except Patches. When you uncover the chest in his cave, it begins. After berating you for stealing, he could try to hit you.Fortunately, Patches' assaults are readily anticipated. He can also use his ability to blast Poison Mist, although doing so exposes him to fast arrows or bow hits. However, as soon as Patches' HP drops below 50%, something crucial happens. He'll plead for pity out of nowhere. You will then get the Grovel for Mercy emote. Thus, is it appropriate to maintain Patches in
Elden Ring? I would advise you to decide to "forgive and forget." Patches becomes a merchant NPC as a result. Returning to his position quickly will allow you to inspect his merchandise.
Shackle MargitGo ahead and check out Patches' items if you wish to purchase anything from him. Perhaps the most important is Margit's Shackle, which costs five thousand runes. If you need assistance gathering the money, you may look at our
rune farming guide. There are two uses for Margit's Shackle in the
Margit boss fight. if your opponent is still more than 50% healthy and it isn't phase 2 yet, to shock them. I won't reveal it now, but it also serves another purpose later in the campaign.
A different chest exists! You'll notice that there's another chest next to Patches while you're speaking with him. Recall the fate of those who steal. Upon opening the chest, you will fall victim to a transporter trap. A colossal bear will transfer you to Mistwood in eastern Limgrave. It's absolutely not something you want to take on lightly. Find a nearby Site of Grace and take a nap there if you want to leave quickly. This will allow the function to work again.
What became of Patches?Patches will vanish from Murkwater Cave much later in your adventure. He will be in
Volcano Manor when you next see him. He is one of the task givers there, and one of the ones that will assign you an NPC target to attack.
