Players must effectively start again each time the game wipes since Once Human is handling seasons a bit differently than other games. It's well-intentioned, and after learning everything about its workings, I can't say that I'm totally against it. This is how Once Human's seasons will function, along with what will change, what will remain, and what may be carried over.
How do seasons in Once Human operate?
Human is doing an intriguing experiment with their seasons. The servers will wipe every six weeks, at which point you should switch to a new one. You may wonder, why? Well, every server offers a unique situation.
Each server offers a distinct plot, a variety of objectives, and an entirely unique experience. With any luck, this will inspire users to explore the game's full potential and take advantage of all its features.
This regular server cleaning and seasonal content also have other advantages. This will be your opportunity to join your pals if you have joined a server that they aren't on, and you will all start at the same base level.
Thus, with fresh players joining various places, every season may bring with it a whole new situation. But with the amount of time and energy you have put on equipmenting your player base, you may be wondering Was it all in vain?
Between seasons, what do you retain and lose?
Despite the fact that the six-week cycle is a server wipe, you won't have to restart from scratch and lose all of your progress. Unlike Tarkov, these seasonal wipes are not. They resemble a soft wipe more than anything else. That wording sounds repulsive. This is .

What you preserve from the Once Human season wipesThere will also be an Eternaland where players may freely construct and move various objects. such as equipment, supplies, guns, ammunition, and drugs. Items may be transferred to Eternaland for free, and they will remain there throughout the seasons. But in Once Human, you can only bring these goods out of Eternaland for a fee when a new season begins. Don't worry, however; it won't be actual cash. This is .between seasons, what you lose:
Level
Map and stronghold discovery
Weapons, gear, medicines, and materials not stored and transferred from Enternaland
Energy Link
Seasonal Challenge progress
What are my thoughts on Once Human's seasons?
To begin with, let me state how much I like the game. I believe the plot is interesting, and I like the SCP-style opponents. The PvP, in my opinion, is very well done and has great potential for future development. Furthermore, I believe that the resource gathering and base construction are ideally timed to complement one other without overpowering the rest of the game. In many aspects, the Once Human crew has done a fantastic job. But the six-week reset schedule might be its undoing.
A six-week stopwatch
For Once Human seasons, six weeks is not at all long. A full reset, including levels, tends to significantly reduce the number of players who will get any enjoyment from the game. I myself don't have the time to play the game for more than an hour or two a day at most. I have other responsibilities in life. This slows down my progress, which isn't typically an issue.I won't bother if I now have to work against a ticking clock to advance before all is gone. I don't want to feel like I'm running out of time and am always falling behind . Someone has never desired to brew a drink like that, yet it seems like a rogue-lite MMO.
Greater sense of time
Perhaps extending the intervals between wipes would make more sense. Allow enough time for users to get familiar with the situations, maps, and servers they are on. Allow individuals to overlevel and construct ridiculous constructions. Permit the less experienced players to gradually gain strength and finish all the tasks. Six weeks is a very short period. A more realistic interval between Once Human seasons would be closer to six months. It's a wonderful touch that some items, including blueprints and a select weapons, may be carried throughout the seasons. It isn't enough, in my opinion, to make the short season length bearable for casual players. I believe that the Once Human team has high expectations for its player base. We will see how their present strategy plays out, of course, but I believe that once the new season begins and people realize they weren't done with the previous one, they could wind up losing a lot of players.
Not everything is negative.
All things considered, I must admit that,, I really enjoy the idea they have for the season wipes. I appreciate that they took the time and made the effort to create a variety of tales, objectives, and foes to encounter. I think there should be more of this type of inventiveness in video games as it's lacking.I'm eager to find out what each server has in store, what each new map is like, and what more there is to explore. Furthermore, I'm sure that everything they have planned for the next months will be outstanding. I just believe I won't have enough time to give it a thorough examination. But I'll most definitely be picking a PvP one when the next season drops, if just for the extra content.
