Zeus, your very own Hellhound pet dog, may be called upon if you desire to let loose the inner dog. You'll need Chunks of Flesh to do it. Zeus will be made an ally by feeding him chunks of flesh—that is, zombie flesh—to give him the flavor of zombies.

Doghouses pop up at random and aren't indicated on the map. I think I played five or six games before I came upon a doghouse. A dog inside a home, often known as a doghouse, will appear as an icon on your map when you are close to one.
If you get near enough, you should be able to see an interaction that reads "open" as you approach the burning doghouse. Put your Chunks of Flesh in the doghouse and press that. When I originally tried this, I obtained Zeus by entering three chunks of flesh. I attempted this a second time with one Chunk of Flesh, but it didn't work. Based on my findings, I'm supposing that the likelihood of obtaining Zeus, the Hellhound pet dog, increases with the amount of Chunks of Flesh you place in the doghouse.
A vengeful Hellhound will emerge from the doghouse if anything other than Chunks of Flesh are placed within. When I attempted this with canned food, I received a vengeful Hellhound. Chunks of Flesh, , will grant you Zeus, the Hellhound..
Zeus (I assume each time you make a canine companion) Zeus, the name of their Hellhound, is a nice lad. You shouldn't be concerned about him dying unless there are a ton of zombies around since he has a ton of health.
For too long, I abandoned Zeus to battle on his own because I became too used to his near-invincibility. He turned to glance around and was gone. Till I call upon him once again, Zeus, RIP. He is a decent damage dealer, but more significantly, he makes a fantastic decoy to keep zombies away from you.
