For the sake of clarity, I solely prioritized ranged combat when I faced this monster, however I did take note of its abilities:
- Melee Combo – Mohg will usually do two swings with his weapon. The second swing will coincide with a lunge.
- Slash and Blast – When you’re in melee range, Mohg will swipe and mark the air to cause an explosion.
- Blood Splash – Mohg will throw blood pools at a wide location, which will cause flames to erupt. Your bleeding meter will also increase if you’re standing in the flames.
- Nihil Blood Rings – Mohg will periodically cast this spell, creating a red ring around your character.
- Bleeding Slash – Mohg’s melee swipes will also leave trails of blood.
- Skewer – If you see the boss set to charge, cancel whatever you’re doing and prepare to dodge out of the way.
- Blood Rain – The boss will float in the air and spray blood in a wide arc.
- Mohgwyn’s Sacred Spear – Requires STR 24, DEX 14, and FAI 18; scales with STR D, DEX D, and FAI D.
