Datto is probably someone you've seen on YouTube if you've watched any Destiny 2 footage. He has been covering Destiny since the start, thus his insights are valuable. Here's how the six new Exotic Armor that will be available in Destiny 2: The Final Shape look, as shown by Datto's latest leak.
Datto's Initial Thoughts on Destiny 2: The Complete Form of Unusual Armor
Prior to the complete release of The Final Shape on June 4, 2024, Datto was given some playing time. Datto gives us some much-needed information on a couple Exotics we may look forward to, despite his limited playing experience. He addressed two pieces of exotic armor for every class and answered several questions fans had.
It's evident that Datto was unable to test everything with a fireteam or with these Exotic Armor pieces. In light of this, some of these preliminary opinions may not hold true when The Final Shape debuts. Having said that, making a tier list is always entertaining, so here's our assessment of the material presented based on Datto's thoughts and gameplay.
Naturally, we're getting into deep spoiler territory here since these armor parts aren't in the game yet. Think of yourself as forewarned, Guardian.
Pre-release Exotic Armor Tier List for Destiny 2: The Final Shape
This Destiny 2 is set up. The Final Shape Exotic Armor ranking is shown from best to worst; our justification is provided below:
- Titan Wishful Ignorance Exotic Gauntlets
- Titan Hazardous Propulsion Exotic Gauntlets
- Warlock Speaker’s Sight Exotic Helmet
- Hunter Balance of Power Leg Armor
- Warlock Mataiodoxia Exotic Chest Armor
- Hunter Gifted Exotic Conviction Chest Armor
Explaining the Exotic Tier List
In order for me to better explain their placements, let's briefly go over each piece of armor.
Titan Exotic Gauntlets with Wishful Ignorance
You would be correct if the primary lesson you learned from this list is that "Titans are eating well in the Final Shape." Titans that wear the Wishful Ignorance Gauntlets get an extra charge of the Frenzied Blade, and further damage is dealt on successive strikes. When you use Banner of War to heal your companions, you also receive melee energy.
As the primary Titan, I am aware of Banner of War's strength, even after many nerfs. Already a great ability, Frenzied Blade will be even better with the addition of an exotic armor component.
Titan Exotic Gauntlets for Hazardous Propulsion
When you deploy a Barricade, this exotic releases rockets and increases the potency of your rockets by around 35%. Datto claims that even if the damage is less powerful in PvP, it is still respectable. This might provide me with motivation to build around my Barricade, because I mostly utilize it to enhance my other skills. The rocket barrage seems rather good, and there are plenty of build chances due to the rockets' additional damage.
Exotic Helmet Sighted by Warlock Speaker
Throwing a healing grenade triggers the Speaker's Sight to activate a healing turret. Homing rounds that provide healing and restoration are fired by the turret. This exotic fits very well with a support player's playstyle if that's how you see yourself.Datto says as follows: It's difficult to convince him to use an exotic slot on a healing turret. Though I think a lot of experienced players will feel the same way, this Exotic could be a lifesaver for those who are still debating whether New Light Kit is the finest New Light Kit.
Hunter Exotic Leg Armor: Balance of Power
The Hunter's Threaded Specter ability is enhanced by the Balance of Power. According to Datto, this exotic looks to be primarily designed for PvP since it doesn't show up on the radar when you're close to a Specter.Given the abundance of good alternatives in PvE, this exotic component could be a low priority. Still, this can be a nice alternative for those gamers that reside in the Crucible.
