The Altus Plateau's Sainted Hero's Grave dungeon guide

The heart of the Altus Plateau is home to the Sainted Hero's Grave dungeon in Elden Ring. It should be seen up on the hill right before you enter the forest if you follow the main road. If you've previously traveled farther north, perhaps after using the teleporter in the Forest-Spanning Greatbridge, you may still reach this location. From there, you may trace the route as it round the edge of the cliff until it meets the center hill.

You'll see that a Black Knife Assassin is stationed to protect the door when you arrive. You have encountered the same kind of boss if you have been gathering Deathroot for Gurranq. As usual, beware of its jumping strikes, bleeding projectile, and spin followed by a grab-and-stab maneuver.

The fact that you're battling on the overworld suddenly makes a difference since there's a large, open space where you can safely flee and force the boss to reposition. This is something you can benefit from. Try to deflect or block the Black Knife Assassin's blows, for example, if you manage to draw it away from the structure. Avoid it as it does its jumping slash and observe as it attempts to return to its starting position. Use a projectile to stop it from vanishing, such a Kukri. This will let you strike it several times to punish it before it changes where it is located. It won't replenish its HP until you pass away or take a nap at a Site of Grace, so don't worry.

You will get the Black Knife—I suppose it's about time you acquired a weapon from one of these guys—after defeating the Black Knife Assassin. The Imp Statue will thereafter be visible to you as you enter the dungeon. To open it, use a Stonesword Key. Inside is an adversary and a Crimson Seed Talisman, which boosts HP restored using flasks.

Take note: As a catacombs/crypt-style dungeon, the Sainted Hero's Grave in Elden Ring has a number of resources that may be used to upgrade your Spirit Ash summons.

That being said, the way light diminishes shadows is the fundamental concept in this dungeon. You'll see light coming from statues and other sources as you explore.

Similar to that, there are several shadowy Imp mobs. Until you entice them into the light, you won't be able to harm them.

Here are a few other noteworthy details:

  • In one of the chambers, you’ll find the Leyndell Soldier Ashes (summon).
  • There’s a corridor that’s got nasty guillotines. Roll past these and don’t get hit since they will instantly kill you.
  • You’ll come across a room with a large indentation on the floor. The ground will shatter, causing you to fall down below. You’ll be up against several Shadow Imps, but you can wait for them to step into the light to lose their protection.
  • At the very end of the loop, you’ll encounter a Gladiator miniboss. You can also pick up a Prattling Pete “Let’s get to it” here.
  • The Gladiator miniboss is also shrouded. The closest light source is the pit where you fell down to previously, so lure it past the guillotines until you reach the well-lit room. You should be able to damage it and, upon its defeat, you may open the door to the main boss’ chamber.

The Ancient Hero of Zamor is the primary boss of the Sainted Hero's Grave dungeon in Elden Ring. This specter may be anticipated for its melee assaults, but it also carries harsh ice spells that can result in frostbite. You should utilize a Spirit Ash summon that creates a few monsters or more throughout this battle. It would be ideal if they could also fire projectiles, a la Marionette Soldier Ashes.

The writing of the Ancient Hero of Zamor is the cause of this. It will act brazenly Make an effort to dodge each missile. It will stagger back and forth if your summoned mobs are pelting it with arrows, providing an easy target for close-quarters and long-range attacks. It will ultimately destroy your summons, maybe even you, so make sure to defeat it as soon as possible. You may get the Ancient Dragon Knight Kristoff special summon by defeating the Ancient Hero of Zamor in Elden Ring.
