After being available for over a year, Forza Horizon 5 is set to become an even more advanced technological demonstration for PC gamers. It has been officially revealed by Playground Games that the game will support AMD FSR 2 and NVIDIA DLSS Super Resolution in an upcoming November 8 update. Additional DirectX ray tracing functionality will also be included in the update, and you may enable it in the Free Roam, Races, and Photo Mode of Forza Horizon 5.
Alongside some new free material, there will be all these new graphics improvements. Four more cars and a new Horizon Story will be included in the Donut Media update.

Players should anticipate a more comprehensive visual experience overall with these improvements. A performance mode that "may construct a 4K rendered image from a 1080p frame buffer, allowing higher performance at higher resolutions" is available to users of the FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR 2) option. The nice thing about FSR is that it works with GPUs other than AMD ones. You may play FSR 2 in Forza Horizon 5 regardless whether you have an Nvidia card or a brand-new Intel setup.
But if you do own an Nvidia RTX card, you'll be able to take use of the special advantages of DLSS support. It functions similarly to FSR, meaning that it can produce images of greater quality at higher frame rates. A considerably smoother-looking final output picture is produced by the DLAA mode, which also "uses AI-powered technology to anti-alias a native resolution at high quality."

In a similar vein, Asobo Studios has updated Microsoft Flight Simulator with FSR and DLSS compatibility. The findings of our performance analysis, which was conducted using an RTX 2060 GPU on a gaming laptop with a low processing power, were mediocre. Considering that Forza Horizon 5 is a lot simpler to play than Microsoft Flight Simulator, it will be fascinating to see what improvements it has.
There are other choices for ray tracing support in addition to these new rendering options. Since the game's release, Forza Horizon 5 has had ray tracing; however, it has only been available in the Forzavista mode, where you may pan the camera around the vehicle in the garage and interact with various features like opening the doors and exploring the inside.
Forzavista's models are somewhat better quality than those utilized in standard gaming. It also makes sense that this is the only location where ray tracing may be enabled since nothing else is happening. However, Playground has now successfully integrated it into other gameplay elements.
Tracers using ray tracing
Players may choose the degree of ray tracing they want to use, as shown by the chart below. The "Medium" setting alone works in Forzavista mode and just permits a lower-res production. "High" will allow you to see the resolution in its entirety while maintaining Forzavista. You may witness ray tracing in normal gameplay with the new "Ultra" and "Extreme" modes. Photo Mode offers the maximum realism since it applies to AI vehicles as well as your own.

To fully handle the "Extreme" ray tracing setting, Playground advises players to have at least a Ryzen 7 3800XT or Intel i7 10700K CPU combined with a Radeon RX 6800 XT or Nvidia RTX 3080 GPU, in addition to 16GB of RAM and an SSD. Below is the whole recommended specifications chart.

As previously stated, on November 8th, for PC, Forza Horizon 5 will get all of these updates.
