The Ghostflame Dragon is likely to be among the first bosses you encounter in the Land of Shadow. Even though it breaths ice rather than fire, this frigid beast is just as lethal as a regular dragon. How to beat Elden Ring's Ghostflame Dragon monster Erdtree's Shadow
The Ghostflame Dragon is located northwest of the Scorched Ruins and west of the Greatbridge at the North Site of Grace . It is resting on a tiny lake. Keep an eye out for the Great Katana on the lake as well, since it may be found here. Although we don't currently have a cheese approach, we do know a few tricks for defeating the Ghostflame Dragon.
To start, I would advise carrying an Ash of War with you to provoke the dragon and divert its focus from you. For these kinds of conflicts, I always pull out my Mimic Tear, and you should too. Now, aiming at this enormous dragon might occasionally irritate you.
I would advise not locking your aim on the Ghostflame Dragon, since I found it difficult to aim for areas that would do damage when using the lock-on. Switch it off, and usually aim for the head or legs.
The dragon will strike back once it detects your assault. It will attempt to stomp down you if you are at its feet, knocking you to the ground. When you see it raise a leg, immediately cease striking and prepare to avoid.
It will coil back when you're in front of it, getting ready to use its winged arms to slash at you. Dodging backward will help you avoid them; it should only swipe twice in one session.
It also enjoys attacking by taking off into the air, hovering for a little while, and then diving directly at you to strike you with a lethal blow. It's all about timing your dodges, so be patient and wait for the object to make its drop overhead before swerving to avoid it.
Attacks with frostbite
Its frost strikes are the difficult part now. Frequently, the Ghostflame Dragon will release a ice breath, causing you to get Frostbite. You'll receive a significant amount of damage just by being in the explosion radius, apart from Frostbite.
Run to the side and backward as soon as you notice it preparing to unleash its ice strike . Even better, because you may escape it by just fleeing, if it intends to breathe in an arc from left to right (or vice versa), go in that direction. You will be safe since it will not outrun you in speed.
