The Wastelander Challenges in Fortnite give your game an additional layer of difficulty. You must complete these tasks in order to complete several Fortnite missions, and doing so might even win you a Victory Royale.
How to start a Fortnite
Wastelander ChallengeIt's not a huge concern, but the Jumpstart Quest is the only Fortnite Quest that requires you to start one right now in relation to the Wastelander Challenges. There will soon be a mission that requires you to use one to win a game. With your Power Armor at the ready, that is.
You will need to approach the four Wastelander Beacons that are dispersed around the Fortnite area. In essence, these beacons are radios posing a challenge for you to accept, should you so choose. You will be hindered by these Wastelander Challenges for the remainder of your session, so beware.
Navigate to your Quests to discover where the Wastelander Beacons are located. Select the "Accept a Wastelander Challenge" after going into Jumpstart Quests. The Wastelander Beacon sites are all shown on the map to the right. Select one of them, then place a marker over it to see its location in-game.
You will thus be allowed to visit the Wastelander Beacon and accept the challenge when you next stop by. You will be presented with a random six-challenge for each beacon. It's not something you can alter; you can only accept or reject it.
Every location for the Wastelander Challenge in Fortnite
I believed that having a reference that you could still see while playing the game would be helpful. To locate a Wastelander Challenge in Fortnite, use the map and bulleted list below.
A Wastelander Beacon may be found in the following regions:
- In Mount Olympus just below Reckless Railways
- On the coast between Brutal Beachhead and Redline Rig
- Just above the Rebel’s Outpost
- To the right of Classy Courts over the river
You may select whatever place is closest to your desired dropping spot, but all of them will work.
All Fortnite Wastelander Challenges
In Fortnite, there are a total of six Wastelander Challenges. The one you get is randomly selected, but it's a good idea to be prepared.
These are .all of Fortnite's Wastelander Challenges: Wastelander Challenge Inhibitions The Floor Is Lava Take 5 damage when touching the floor. Jammed Clips Can no longer reload. Full Throttle Take 5 damage when not moving. Perma-Damage Health and Shield items can’t be used. Unshielded Cannot gain Shields. Burnin’ Hot Items Take 5 damage when picking up any item.
These Wastelander Tasks are really demanding. Unfortunately, except from finishing quests, there's really no incentive to take them apart. (that aren't out yet, but leakers have assured us they will be shortly).
Oh, and I would not recommend getting Full Throttle or The Floor Is Lava if you have latency. You won't be able to stop yourself from flaming away. Oh, and while utilizing cars, both of those challenges still count. There's no getting around this. Now that you know how to make your game much more difficult, why not use it to your advantage and get the Fallout Power Armor to really demonstrate your prowess?
