Mining shouldn't provide a problem. That is, of course, if you can avoid dealing with zombie-like monsters and space-time rifts that will instantly kill you. Alright, so here is where you can get Iron Ore in Once Human.
Where to Find Iron Ore When Human
In Once Human, gathering iron ore won't be as simple as you may think. Unlike other games where Iron is rather prevalent, in the first hours of gameplay, you won't find any Iron at all. However, without the right equipment, it would be difficult to get Iron Ore even if you were to uncover any veins.
The Bronze Pickaxe fills that need. After you have unlocked Bronze Casting, you may access this via the Memetics menu. Generally speaking, pickaxes at each tier can extract one mining resource that is one level above, therefore Bronze pickaxes are fully capable of extracting Iron Ore.
Traveling to a location where these Iron Ore veins may be found will be the second restriction. These will be situated north of the Dayton Wetlands in the Iron River region. Since this is a level 28 zone, if you are a beginner, your opponents will be much stronger than you. Make your way through the tale until you get the motorbike, which will let you escape problems quickly, since the route there is also paved with enemies and the sporadic boss.
There are quite a few iron ore veins on the ground when you get to Iron River. You will have no issue mining these veins since you have your Bronze Pickaxe. Just be advised that the difficulty and density of enemies are much greater. But you will be able to defend yourself if you have a crossbow, some arrows, and even a handgun.
You can use the Furnace to smelt some Steel Ingots, which will aid you with higher-tier recipes and goods, now that you have some Iron Ore. It is recommended that you visit this location as soon as possible in order to get these ores, easily fight monsters of a higher level, and obtain goods that aren't found in the Dayton Wetlands.
